Persona Non Grata

In the time it's taken you to read this, you could have started a conversation with me.  Think about it.  How often over the past week have you told someone that you care about just how important they are to you?  Sure, you've probably talked to them regarding something necessary, or something that you want or 'need', but have you told them that your life would be different without them?  That you're so glad to have them as a part of your life?  No?  Well maybe you should.  People don't seem to realize that the ones they love may not be there when they wake up in the morning.

I won't be killing myself any time soon.  I promised myself that I wouldn't do that to the people that I love.  It doesn't matter how hard my life gets or how much I hate myself because there are people out there that would disagree.  I will always be there for the ones I care for, no matter how they treat me.  People seem to view this as being a doormat, but sometimes I really feel that if I'm not there in their time of need then no-one else will be.  It doesn't matter how much you hurt me; I'll be there for you when you need me.  Because I hope to the gods that someone will do the same for me.  And funnily enough, someone did.  And not who ya'll would've expected.  I thank her for that.


I hope that reading this, you will take it on board.  Give your mum a hug, thank your dad for all his advice, tell your brothers and sisters that you'll try to be the best role model for them.  And thank your friends for being in your life because you wouldn't be who you are today without them.  One day they might be gone, and you don't want to regret those missed chances for the rest of your lives.
